Should a man pole dance?

JBJ Asked:

I am an artist/musician of international repute (I prefer to remain anonymous) and am grievously offended by the use of my compositions by male exotic dancers. I don’t mind if the babes want to dance to my tunes – but dudes!? What’s up with that?!

Advisor Jamal  answers: I don’t know why you think that only ladies should be baring all for the base gratification of leering perverts. Why shouldn’t women be allowed to watch men and give them some of the same medicine? It is a rather unenlightened position you’re taking here, isn’t it?

  1. I wasn’t aware that the Poles danced much – especially the men. Do the Poles dance the way the Russians do?

    • This question is not about Polish dancing, Gertrude. It is about men dancing around a brass pole (metal) attached to a floor and ceiling.

Personally, I don’t see the appeal of it, but I think men should be allowed to do it if they want to. As far as JBJ’s question goes, I think that if you sell your music and people buy it, they should be allowed to do what they want to while they listen to it. It’s as simple as that. I like to kick back once in a while in my workshop while listening to Bananarama and Frank Sinatra. I won’t be asking their permission!

  2. I think our question might have come from John Bon Jovi. I wouldn’t mind watching him pole dance.
